This Mānuka honey (sample ID BEENZ_10_20NZH11_202) was independently tested by Gribbles LABNET in New Zealand and carries a UMF 11.2 grade — UMF (Unique Mānuka Factor) is an independent measure of Mānuka purity and potency that helps shoppers compare products. The lab report shows Methylglyoxal (MGO) at 316 mg/kg, the compound commonly used as an indicator of antibacterial activity; at this level it’s a lower‑to‑mid strength Mānuka, excellent for everyday use such as food, baking, drinks and skincare. Leptosperin is reported at 923 mg/kg, which is a botanical marker confirming this is genuine Mānuka harvested from New Zealand flora. DHA (the natural precursor to MGO that can indicate how MGO may develop over time) is not listed on this certificate. This product is supplied by UMF licensee New Zealand Honey Co. Ltd — a trusted producer committed to independent testing and clear labelling — so you can buy with confidence in the honey’s traceability and quality.
In short: A genuine, UMF 11.2 Mānuka with MGO 316 mg/kg — a tasty, trustworthy everyday Mānuka ideal for culinary use, daily wellness and skincare.

Mānuka Honey FAQ
Why is this honey so expensive?
It’s harvested in remote areas of New Zealand and undergoes rigorous independent testing for quality, purity, and potency — all of which adds cost. Rarity and global demand also play a role.
The colour of my honey looks different. Why?
Colour can vary naturally by batch and region. It doesn’t indicate strength or efficacy; a high-MGO honey can be light, and a lower-MGO honey can be dark and visa-versa.
My honey is too hard/runny. What’s wrong?
Temperature affects viscosity. To soften, leave it somewhere warm. To firm, chill in the fridge briefly.
This Mānuka Honey tastes bitter — is it off?
High-grade Mānuka can taste bold or slightly bitter due to potent bioactive compounds. Honey doesn’t spoil in the usual sense; gentle warming can reverse crystallisation.
How is Mānuka honey different from regular honey?
Mānuka contains higher levels of methylglyoxal (MGO) and carries a UMF™ rating based on independent lab tests of key markers.
